1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ZiBa Entertainment (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the game Deadlight – A Zombie Chronicle (“the Game”, “App”), a free-to-play Android game published under package name com.deadlight.zibaentertainment.

By downloading or playing the Game, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Game.

3. What Data Is Collected

3.1 Data We Collect Directly

We do not collect any personal data directly. Specifically:

3.2 Data Collected by Third-Party SDKs

The Game integrates third-party services that may collect data on our behalf or for their own purposes. The table below summarises each integration.

Service Purpose Data that may be collected Privacy policy
Google AdMob Serving banner and interstitial advertisements Advertising ID (GAID), IP address (used to infer approximate location), device information (model, OS version), ad interaction data Google Privacy Policy

4. How Data Is Used

We use information collected through the Game for the following purposes:

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Advertising & Google AdMob

The Game is free to play and supported by advertising. Google AdMob serves two ad formats:

AdMob may use your device’s Google Advertising ID (GAID) and other device signals to show personalised ads. Personalised advertising can be disabled at any time:

Opting out of personalised ads does not remove ads from the Game; it means ads you see will not be tailored to your interests. To remove all ads permanently, purchase the Premium upgrade through the in-game store.

Google AdMob is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s policies for AdMob partners.

6. In-App Purchase (“Premium”)

The Game offers a single, optional one-time purchase called Premium that permanently removes all ads. This purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. ZiBa Entertainment:

All payment data is subject to Google Payments Privacy Notice.

7. Data Retention & Storage

Local device data (game progress, settings) is retained on your device until you uninstall the Game or clear the app’s data through your device settings. This data is never transmitted to us.

Third-party data (e.g. data held by Google relating to AdMob or Play Billing) is retained in accordance with Google’s own data-retention policies, which you can review in Google’s Privacy Policy.

8. Children’s Privacy

Deadlight – A Zombie Chronicle features zombie and survival themes with mild stylised violence and is intended for players aged 16 and older. The Game is not directed at children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the Game, please contact us at info@zibaentertainment.com so we can take appropriate action.

In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not target the Game at children under 13, and Google AdMob is configured to serve non-personalised ads in contexts where child-directed treatment applies.

9. Your Rights Under GDPR (EU / EEA Users)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants you certain rights. Because ZiBa Entertainment does not directly collect or store personal data about you, most of these rights relate to data held by our third-party partners (primarily Google). We are committed to helping you exercise your rights where possible.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR Article 6): To the limited extent that ZiBa Entertainment participates in processing personal data (e.g. receiving an anonymised purchase confirmation), we rely on contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)) to fulfil the Premium purchase, and on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating a free ad-supported game. For personalised advertising by AdMob, Google relies on your consent as expressed through your device’s advertising preferences.

10. International Data Transfers

The Game is developed in the Netherlands (EU). Google AdMob and Google Play Billing may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission and the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework to ensure adequate protection for such transfers. For details, see Google’s GDPR services page.

11. Security

Because we do not collect or transmit personal data from users of the Game, the main data security consideration is your device’s own security. We recommend keeping your Android device up to date with security patches. Local game data is stored in the app’s sandboxed storage, which is accessible only to the Game itself under normal conditions.

12. App Permissions

The Game requests only the permissions necessary for its operation. AdMob may request access to the advertising ID (through Google Play Services) to personalise ads. No other sensitive permissions (camera, contacts, location, microphone) are requested by the Game itself.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Game, applicable law, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. The most current version will always be available at the URL where you found this document, and may also be linked from the Game’s Google Play Store listing.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Game after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
