If you subscribe to Premium and add a caretaker email, we send that address a weekly summary; that email address stays on your device too. Ads (free users only) are served by Google AdMob, which may use your device’s advertising ID. Premium subscribers see no ads.

1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ZiBa Entertainment (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with MedMate (“the App”), available under bundle ID com.zibaentertainment.medmate on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

By downloading or using MedMate, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

3. What Data Is Handled & Where It Lives

3.1 Data You Enter — Stored Only on Your Device

All medication data you enter stays on your device only, using Android’s SharedPreferences and local device storage. This includes:

None of this data is transmitted to ZiBa Entertainment’s servers. We never see it. It is removed when you use Settings → Delete All Data or uninstall the App.

3.2 Caretaker Email & Weekly Summary (Premium Feature)

If you subscribe to Premium and optionally enter a caretaker’s email address, MedMate will send that address a weekly medication summary email from noreply@zibaentertainment.com. This requires an internet connection at the time of sending.

3.3 Data Collected by Third-Party Services

MedMate integrates the following third-party services. Their data practices are governed by their own privacy policies.

4. How We Use Data

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Advertising & Google AdMob

The free version of MedMate is supported by advertising served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS) and other device signals to show personalised ads.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time:

Opting out reduces personalisation but does not remove ads from the free version. Subscribing to Premium removes all ads entirely.

6. Premium Subscriptions

MedMate offers two auto-renewing subscription options processed entirely by the relevant app store:

ZiBa Entertainment never receives or stores your payment card details or billing address. We receive only a token confirming the subscription is active.

Any of the above actions permanently removes all your data from your device. ZiBa Entertainment holds no copy to delete on your behalf.

Third-party data (AdMob, billing) is retained per Google’s and Apple’s own retention policies.

9. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

MedMate is not directed at children under the age of 13 and is not intended for use by anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used MedMate and provided personal data, please contact us at info@zibaentertainment.com and we will take appropriate action.

In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), AdMob is configured to serve non-personalised ads in contexts where child-directed treatment may apply.

10. Your Rights Under GDPR (EU / EEA Users)

If you are in the EU or EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you rights over your personal data. Because all your MedMate data lives on your device, you already have direct control. Here is how each right works in practice:

Object to processing Opt out of personalised advertising via your device settings (see Section 5). To stop the caretaker email, simply remove the email address in the App settings.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR Article 6): To the limited extent ZiBa Entertainment participates in processing personal data — such as routing the caretaker summary email and receiving a subscription confirmation token — we rely on contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)) to provide the service you requested. For AdMob personalised advertising, Google relies on consent as expressed through your device advertising preferences.

11. International Data Transfers

ZiBa Entertainment is based in the Netherlands (EU). Google AdMob and the app store billing services may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. Google and Apple rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other approved transfer mechanisms to ensure adequate protection. 12. Security

Because MedMate stores data locally, the security of your medication information depends primarily on the security of your device. Your data is stored in the App’s sandboxed storage, which is accessible only to MedMate under normal operating conditions. We recommend keeping your device updated with the latest security patches and using a screen lock.

The caretaker summary email is transmitted over an encrypted (TLS) connection.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, applicable law, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this page. The current version will always be available at the URL where you found this document and linked from the App’s store listings.

Continued use of MedMate after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
